I recently bought this book called Postsecret by Frank Warren. He's an artist who sends postcards to random addresses asking them to send him a postcard with a secret they had never told anyone before and send it back to him.

They're all decorated so diversely and there are some hilarious and some horribley sad secrets returned too. This got me thinking about the public more and how, when we're prodded and inspired, a large number of people can make something awesome.

I'm planning to do something of this kind but in a different format and alot less widespread with origami, or wrapped up in some sort of way. what do you think of this kind of 'social art'? in an artistic sense and its effects upon the community? what are your secrets, hopes and dreams? are these really that precious to you? do you think everyone guards these thoughts?

I think it's pretty therapeutic and eye-opening on how much creativity and thought is going on out there...that is unless this guy mailed his own artsy postcards and crazy secrets to himself... O_O

Anyway, its a good read and a great thing to browse if you need help on presentation or spicing up your ideas...it sure helped me ^_^
