Omg, i can't WAIT for this last project to be OVER! ok i have to get 6 plates made to print with for my last project which is handed in on the 21'st May and if you knew what i had to go through..you wouldnt want to do it either!...actually lets go through this long boring process shall we?! (skip to the end if you cba cuz it'll sure tkae me aaages to type it alone!)

1'st u have to smooth the edges with a filer and sand down a steel plate (cut to the size you want) with a primer and then a finishing sandpaper.
2nd you have to polish the plate to get the grease off and then cover it in amonia - dry it and wipe it off - properly gets to the back of your lungs - nasty stuff.
THEn you have to cover it in a thin soft brown wax layer by heatin it up.
THEN you have to hang it up and smoke it (burn it so its black) with a mahoosive candle and wait for it to cool.
THEENNNN you have to scratch in your image which can take a while if u dont want unwanted scratches.
THENNNN u have to leave it in acid so it bites into where you've scratched for 30mins and black out anywhere u scratched by accident (and that paint taaakes ages to dry - hours) its really thick black/tarry paint.
THENNNnnnn u have to white spirit alll that crappy brown stuff off and thennn amonia it again to get grease off.
THENNNNNnn u have to ink it up thinly with card, then scrim it of with this rough stuff with paper in it, then phone paper and then tissue paper to clear it up. and THEN u print!!.. but first u have to soak and blot the paper!....

So its finally done...but thats just..just one!! T_T and if u wanna add texture to it u have to do the same thing ooover again - its so tedious! and i have to do 6!!..bar 1 lino..i miss lino's...i love lino's - dont get me wrong i love printin, but when its near the end n u gotta do so much of the same thing...ach
